My kids will happily take my Android phone, a Droid 1. (Can’t bring myself to call it “OG”, which I think is a play on Ice-T’s ‘Original Gangster’. It’s a fucking phone. It’s not gangster. Not even faux-gangster. Wankster, perhaps.) However, the older it gets, the less inclined they are to endure whatever struggles are required in order to just friggin’ play a game. And the games aren’t as good. We have an iPad and an iPod Touch in the house (no iPhone) and both are more requested than my phone.

I’ve said before that if there were an Android Tablet that could match the zippy feel of an iPad, that would make it a more mass market product. A better barometer could be the kid factor. Let’s face it. These are toys. Expensive toys with true productivity tools. But toys nonetheless.
