During this video of Fred Armisen trying out Google Glass for the first time is a fun tidbit - it would seem that the device responds to anybody’s voice. So if you see somebody wearing the specs and want to mess with them, just say “OK Glass” a lot.

The Times went with a newer song to illustrate Adam Yauch’s borough bona fides, but I’m going old school Beasties with “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.” I’d never seen this video, it’s kinda funny. 1987. That was a long time ago.

- Article written by Terre Roche of The Roches. Worth reading. She says she isn’t sure how to write a hit song. This is not a shock; I don’t mean that as an insult but if you listen to her music (I only sampled the three tunes posted on the Times article) they aren’t commercial. Again, that isn’t a bad thing. Unless you want to make money by writing songs.

Agree with Johnnie5, title says “realease date” and I opened the page to get the release date. There is no release date in article. I feel cheated.

I don’t know that I “feel cheated.” That’s a bit extreme. It took me longer to write this post than it did to discover that there was no release date for the Steam Box yet. Ponder that.

Fun With Reading Titles Wrong

So this new book is called Star Wars Darth Vader And The Ghost Prison. But I read it wrong. I thought it said… drum roll, please…

Star Wars: Darth Vader And The Ghost Prawn. The colon was because, well, that title should have a colon, don’t you think? The Ghost Prawn is just me not having gotten enough sleep last night. I may use that for a story.

Aside: Are we now in the age of no more colons in titles? This is what I’m referring to. Link 1, Link 2. Full Google Search if you really want to dive into this Interweb rabbit hole.

To sum up: Star Wars Darth Vader And The Ghost Prison. To my knowledge no shrimp (aka prawns) are involved, ghostly or otherwise. However, according to the Internet, there are shrimp in the Star Wars universe. Land Shrimp, native to Kashyyyk, or as I called it “the Wookie planet”, and yobshrimp, who hail(ed) from Naboo, which is where Jar Jar Binks is from. But you knew that of course.

Then there’s Admiral Ackbar. He kinda looks like a shrimp. Only bigger.

The sentence is, “We love authenticity, that’s why we have a billion reality shows.”

Here it is in context. Via the New York Times, emphasis added.
